My name is Hugh Charles McBarron IV. You should call me “Charlie.”
That’s me, in the photo above.
On the left.
I was born in Chicago a very long time ago. On June 30, 2017, I retired after 21 years with the Illinois Education Association, the last 14 of those as Director of Communications.
A lot of stuff happened over the last six decades and that’s some of what I plan to write about, along with current affairs, movies, music, vinyl record collecting, the Chicago Cubs and things that make me laugh and/or make me mad.
I hope you’ll subscribe and let me know what you think about all this.
P.S. The other person in the photo is Puddles – The Sad Clown With the Golden Voice. He’s awesome.
The one that got it all started. Lorde says it’s her “favourite” cover of her song.
Puddles’ take on a Ray Charles classic. Very funny, yet what a voice.
Amazing cover of Walker Brothers/Gene McDaniels hit
